BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

Students and staffs are entitled to a school atmosphere that is safe, pleasant and orderly. Josiah Quincy School students contribute to such an environment by behaving in accordance with established behavioral standards and routines.

Our behavioral expectations govern the ways in which students are expected to relate to one another and to staff in the setting of a school community. These expectations which assure students an opportunity to study, learn, and play in a warm, pleasant, and secure atmosphere, are:

  • Students are expected to accept responsibility for their own behavior.

  • Students will know and obey classroom, school, and bus rules.

  • Students will respect the rights of others to learn without disruption or interference.

  • Students will show consideration for the rights of others to be free of harassment and to play safely.

  • Students will be courteous, fair, and honest in their dealings with others.

  • Students will be sensitive to the feelings of others.

  • Students will settle problems of differences thoughtfully and peacefully.

  • Students will show respect for school property and the property of others.
