Environmental Education

The Everett School strives to provide students opportunities to experience their local environment. The Everett Schoolyard boasts extensive garden space, a play structure, outdoor classroom, and additional play space.

Throughout the schoolyard there are many opportunities for students to learn through play and observation.

OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

Our outdoor classroom opened in September 2009. The outdoor classroom provides an enclosed area where classes can explore native plants or simply read a book surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest.

COMMUNITY GARDEN

Students use our newly installed gardens to plant, tend and finally harvest vegetables.

EVERETT FIELD GUIDE

Everett students’ knowledge of their local environment expands each year. Each class at the Everett conducts an in depth study of one of the trees or plants in our schoolyard. Visit our online field guide. It is growing every day...
